Day 8. Trogir to Sibenic

Day 8 Trogir to Sibenic: 74 km. 6 hrs 24 min cycling.
We left Trogir at 07:30 as our bikes were locked in the storeroom of the restaurant below where we were staying. The roads were quite busy already, so had to keep our wits about us. 20 km out of Trogir it started raining which meant we had to stop to get our rain gear out. This kept us mostly dry except for our socks and cycling pants. By the time we reached Primosten after 34 km, we were quite cold and needed a coffee. Primosten is a attractive, fortified village on a small peninsula. We decided to move on to  Sibenic, 34 km further down the coast. The rain stopped and we did the last stretch in mild pleasant conditions. Most of the route was flat and along the coast which was beautiful, with deep inlets and many little islands floated in the bay.
I had a little mishap cycling into Sibenic, I cycled into the back of Ian's bike and fell off; nothing serious, but I felt such a fool ssshrinnnkk!!
As soon as we found our accommodation, which was a small apartment high up on the hill - quite a trek with our bikes, we set about exploring the old town. What a surprise to find the Medieval Garden of St Lawrence Monastery. This little gem was tucked behind the Monastery and was filled with herbs, roses and artichokes.
There were quite a few yachties around so the restaurants along the marina were buzzing.

A view along the Dalmatian coast.
