Arrived Dubrovnik after a good trip,bicycles in one piece. It took quite a while for the bikes to come through from the plane, if we hadn't seen them being loaded onto the trailer we would have been worried.Our breath was taken away at the beauty of Dubrovnik as we came into land. The sea was an amazing aquamarine and was dotted with little islands.
Day 1.
Caught the bus from the Dubrovnik Airport. A lovely 22km ride along the coast.
Managed to find a good secluded place opposite the bus stop to build the bikes. Ian is a real Pro as he had the bikes sorted in no time. We were expecting rain but thankfully it cleared up and Ian could build the bikes. Cycled to our accommodation, house Boninovo about 800 m from the Pile gate.
Ooh our bikes are heavy and a little unstable... Will have to pack the panniers a bit better before we set off on Saturday.
Our highlights of the day were sundowners at Buzo Bar,it is the bar with the BEST view, in Dubrovnik. Supper at Lokanda Peskarija for delicious squid risotto and fried calamari.
